Room 4b

Quite extensive for such a small campus, the Library is located in the western wing of the Humanities Building. Always quiet and sleepy, it features lovely indirect lighting and beanbag chairs. It has a small adjoining cafe that fills the entire building with the smell of fresh coffee.

This small, windowless room is the last refuge of uncatalogued books. None of these books have been integrated in to the library system yet, and many are quite old. The room itself is lit by a rather stark fluorescent light, and every wall is covered with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. There is no apparent order to the books.

Aiden was glad that he was able to sneak out fairly quickly after the meeting had ended. He didn't want to get caught up in the idle chatter that was bound to follow, and he wanted to get most of this research done so he could do the math homwork he had been putting off until last minute. After a few minutes of searching, Aiden finally found the room that Noriko was talking about, the strorage room in the back of the library. Pulling out the last bar of dark chocolate he had, a piece of it missing from earlier, he munched on it while he began searching.

It was hard, at first. He wasn't quite sure what he was looking for, and the dust irritated his throat. He decided that, if he got sick from some strange, ancient airbourne virus that was sure to be amongst the old shelves, he could always quit and tell Dante that 'hey, I tried, but the stress got to me.' He wasn't there for long when he heard the door creak open. He didnt look to see who had joined him, just keeping his mind set on finding a book that might sound interesting and leaving.

Jack had entered the room to find a boy from the Enigma club inside. It appeared that the boy hadn't noticed that Jack had come in. He walked over to a pile of faded books next to a shelf and picked one from the middle out, causing a small toppling of the books. "A Book of Malignant Curses," he read aloud, " I seriously doubt those exist, but that's as good a place to start as any." He sat on the floor and brushed the dust off the book and began reading.

'Oh, wait. Is he talking to himself? Maybe he was talking to me? Oh geez, what'd he say- Hey, this seems promising. Aiden pulled a dusty green book from the shelf, wiping the dust off of it so he could get a better look at the cover. What's this say? It's a bit smeared- ah. The Science of Vampires. Okay, maybe not.... He flipped the book open, coughing slightly when dusty flew into the air, but continued, flipping through the book. Hmmm.... Okay, maybe this will work. I'll find another one, just to be safe...

He turned his attention back to the shelf, looking for something else that would seem interesing, but soon gave up. I'll come back later. I've got math homework to do, and f I miss this assignment, then... With a simple glance at the kid who had entered, Aiden turned sharply on his heel, holding the battered book in his hand, before finall leaving the room.
